My Site - Quick Launch ( In site settings ) Missing

Problem : In mysite, there will be a link called Quick launch ( Site Actions > Site Settings > Look and Feel > Quick Launch ) and it will allow the users to add or remove the tabs which appear in profile page. One fine morning it disappeared and the setting page was filled up with more links (obviously it is less for MySites).

Cause : We enabled the "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" service using feature stapling. If we change it to Publishing site the settings page will change and that is the cause for the issue.

Resolution : You can use the Navigation ( Site Actions > Site Settings > Look and Feel > Navigation ) link instead of Quick launch.
